Michael Waldstein

Michael Waldstein (*1954 in Salzburg) ist Professor für Neues Testament am Internationalen Theologischen Institut in Gaming in Österreich.

Biographie

Michael Waldstein absolvierte das College in Los Angeles und danach Studien in Philosophie und Theologie in Dallas, Rom und Harvard. Sein Dissertationsthema in Harvard lautete: "The Mission of Jesus in John: Probes into the Apocryphon of John and the Gospel of John." Nach achtjähriger Lehrtätigkeit an der University Notre Dame in Indiana führte ihn sein Weg nach Gaming. Dort übernahm er 1996 die Leitung des Internationalen Theologischen Instituts und unterrichtete Neues Testament. 2006 übergab er die Leitung des ITI an Dr. Larry Hogan. Waldstein ist "Senior Professor" und weiterhin Professor für Neues Testament in Gaming. Michael Waldstein ist Mitglied im Päpstlichen Rat für die Familie, verheiratet und hat acht Kinder.
